there was a movie i watched when i was younger about a group of kids, maybe teens, who were living in some rural house, the house was wooden and had a red outer appearance. the whole atmosphere of the movie was eerie and i remember people in like fox masks and animal masks. i remember one scene where they some of the kids were by a riverside and they found some turtle there and were reading something there or talking about what the shell of a turtle says, i think maybe in a chinese tradition? absolutely cannot find it
