A woman sees or calls her ex and goes to her home town. I believe she thinks she is famous and amazing and this love interest ex is into her - she’s a writer in the city but is actually lonely. She thinks she is so cool but it ends up her ex’s partner and her ex feel sorry for her. The ex’s partner plays in a band in a local place. It’s about learning or a switch on her delusion. Something about her fancy sweater.

She is a narcissist but really they reveal they feel sorry for her.

I thought was Uma Thurman but can’t find it.
