Hi there,
maybe somebody can help me to retrieve the title of an old italian movie based on a few details I remember as listed below:

- A powerful businessman causes a devastating car accident and pays a poor fellow travelling with him to pretend being guilty
- The guy goes to prison and is encouraged to keep the secret with some ‘luxurious’ benefits
- Once freed, he is hired by the businessman to do a fake job (sharpening pencils in a beautiful office)
- He has a flirt with a beautiful woman, but his new ‘master’ is jealous and sedates them so that they cannot be together

I am sorry my memory is very obfuscated. The movie was full of distopic, surreal atmospheres in a 70’s - 80’s flavour
