A kindly doctor runs a hospital as it’s only doctor, assisted by several nurses. When a woman dies in childbirth, he raises her infant son who learns everything the doctor knows and helping to care for the patients. When the older doctor is dying and the hospital is under threat of being closed, he and the nurses fake credentials for the now adult orphan so he can take over, even though he never attended medical school.
