The movie is about an alien creature that attacks Earth and grows when in contact with energy. The movie is all at night because if the sun rises, it will take out the earth.
One scene I remember is when it was studied under the microscope, the light from the tiny lamp underneath made it grow.
At last, I remember they defeated it by pouring its secretion on them and attacking its heart. ( after it got huge)
