Hi all. Looking for a Japanese film that is at the end of the samurai era. Towards the end of the movie they are in a field with white cloth up covering gatlin guns and the samurai go to attack and are cut down. The army is visible upset and some are crying if i remember. This is not the last samurai. Unfortunately that is all i can remember about the film. Tha ks in advance for any help.

Could it possibly be [The Last Samurai (2003)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Last_Samurai)
starring Tom Cruise

> Katsumoto orders a [suicidal](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide_attack) [cavalry charge](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cavalry_charge) on horseback. The samurai withstand an artillery barrage and break through Bagley’s line. Algren kills Bagley, but the samurai are quickly mowed down by [Gatling guns](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gatling_gun).
