I have been looking for a tv series about a guy who is transported to a different dimension. I believe the series aired before 2006. It was on a popular channel like Sci-Fi Channel or SyFy, or something similar. In the show, there is a single main character who is transported to a another dimension. I think the opening credits show him walking in a desert full of sand dunes maybe. I forget how he gets there. There seems to be a group of people/aliens that rule the land dwellers. A council of some sort. They restrict technology and innovation and will punish anyone who doesn’t obey. I think they live in a spaceship up in the sky and have access to advanced technology. The land dwellers only have the basic of technology, like they are in the stone age. The main character doesn’t really follow the rules. In one episode about farming, people use a hand tool to poke holes in the ground and drop seeds in. The man cannot bear to see this and creates a new tool that attaches to the foot that has 3 or so of the pokers that can be used to walk across the field and create the holes faster. People like the invention, but get scared because it is breaking the rules. I think the main character is eventually taken to be questioned by the governing council(?) and punished. I have looked up shows and I know it is not the following: battlestar galactica andromeda star trek firefly babylon 5 the outer limits farscape quantum leap ---

Sounds kind of like a Sliders episode, though i cant find one that matches this description. Also similar to a few Stargate concepts. ---

Thanks for all the responses so far. I really appreciate it. Quick feedback on the guesses: @“Bunny” I could not find any details on “The Man From Another Dimension.” However, I don’t think it is that because the details are so hard to find about episodes and when it ran. @“Xfnmv” I looked that up and pretty sure its not Fantastic Journey. The Season aired in 1977, and none of the episode details or photos look familiar either. I use Overseerr to quickly go through episode details and see photos for help, but also try to find episodes to watch online. @BlaiszeAmaize Those are great guesses, though I have not been lucky in finding the episode that even gets close to what I am looking for. I feel like they change dimensions too often to be the actual series though. Just some additional updates to may help with any further guesses. The series did feel more modern at the time that I was watching it. I feel like I was watching Season 1 too, so it felt relatively new. I’m not sure, but it did feel like the show first started airing (but I have not been lucky finding a science fiction bases series that started airing between 2000 and 2006 that matches my description). It did feel more like a modern show, such as stargate or similar, because it had space technology in it and more of a modern CG feel. The other thing is that I believe the first season took place in the same setting for the most part. It was the same world, with the same council. Series like Sliders or Stargate look like they change themes/worlds regularly, so I don’t think it is these series because I remember watching multiple episodes related to the same area. I have tried searching through both of them though to see if an episode if similar. If I remember, the first episode showed the guy getting dropped into the new world, with each episode thereafter exploring more about the world, the rules, and the council. Hope this information helps. ---

@casspir I literally checked back today because I discovered that it was in fact spellbinder. After I watched around minute 5 on episode 4, I knew right away that was the show. The memories came flooding back as soon as I saw the main character hold the farming tool in his hand. You are amazing!!! It too me forever to find this series and I’m glad there was someone out there that also could discover it too. Thank you!!!
