$10 Bounty: Necklace with broken sword piece

Animated kids movie from around 2000
A prince is sent by his father to his uncle’s castle. On the way, he meets a creature in the forest (can’t remember what kind) that accompanies him for the rest of the movie. When he arrives at his uncle’s, he’s sent to duel a representative from a neighboring kingdom. He wins the duel (possibly kills the opponent), but during the fight, his sword is slightly broken and a piece falls off. Later, he returns to his uncle and then boards a ship. There’s a storm at sea and the ship sinks. He wakes up in an unfamiliar bed with someone taking care of him. They fall in love, and at some point he discovers she’s the niece or daughter (not sure which) of the person he killed in the duel. She wears a necklace with the broken piece of his sword.

what language was it in? was it violent? was it 2d or 3d/cgi?

I'm not entirely sure, but I think it was in English. It was a children's movie, so there were fights, but it wasn't overly violent. It was 2D animated.

It was a movie, not TV Series...

Other possibility - but it is TV Series too…

Looks close! I'll watch and update!

Well, that's it! Want to re-answer (as a new answer) so I can mark it as the solution?

You can to mark as SOLVED in my last post (I edited).

Thanks, but the movie doesn't match the plot I described.

Does the thing with the broken sword appear there?

Only guess:

Thanks, but the movie doesn't match the plot I described.

Next guess - The Princess Castle (1996) :

Thanks, but still, the movie doesn't match the plot I described.

If the original questioner said in his/her comment above that this is not the right movie, then why is the answer marked as Solved?

It was changed, because I gave other title, but then I can't to add new post (max 3 posts). 2 hours ago Eliya wrote: "Well, that's it! Want to re-answer (as a new answer) so I can mark it as the solution? – Eliya 2 hours"
