So…i could be remembering this fim wrong…its been 15+ years since I’ve seen it…i think i either watched it on Sundance OR IFC… who knows.
a woman and her daughter (young adult) get stranded on an island (i think they may be spaniard or some kind of latina possibly), they meet a man there (some kind of carribean possibly…he had deep brown skin and short locs hairstyle), he gave them a bag of salt…and continues helping them get their bearings on the new land they find themselves stuck on…anyway at some point in the film the mother becomes enamored with him, he builds a house for them…then at some point the daughter stumbles upon the man and the mother “making love” and i think she doesn’t like it…or is jealous… thats literally all i remember…
