Okay, so I’ve been haunted by this movie I watched because I can’t remember the name.
I watched it a long while ago. I believe it’s a foreign film by a smaller studio. So not a big name like Paramount or a US production.
I remember the basis of the plot.
It starts with two guys driving down a road (friend A & B), they crash and the car gets stuck. As they try to free the car they end up getting chased. At some point they do end up separating and reuniting.
During this time they keep running into people who appear to be in their own worlds. The people are stuck repeating the day the died. One group, all dressed in an older style of clothes, was also a car accident with a fire.
As the two track back to the car they come across one of the friend’s body. Turns out friend B died while running away from the guy that chased them. Friend B begged A to take his body with him so he doesn’t end up in a time loop too. Friend A agrees. He manages to drag his friend’s body back to the car & gets the car unstuck with a board (I think he used a surf board under the tire). Friend A then drives off with B in the back of the car.
Movie ends with friend B being freed from the cycle of death and A going to B’s family.
Sorry if it’s a tad confusing but idk how else to explain it and the details are foggy. It was a great movie though. I believe I originally watched it on one of FX’s channels when it was free to watch
