I’ve watched this one a long time ago on the tv (probably back in 2010), and, I could only watched the ending, so, that’s the only thing I can remember (based on how did it look I’m pretty sure it was from the 80s or 90s).
The main protagonist (a guy in his 30s) ended up being blackmailed by the villain (an old guy who kinda looked like Robert Loggia… but I’m not sure if it was him). I don’t know what did he want from the protagonist (it could have been money or some confidential info stored in some technological device, I can’t remember). The thing is: by the end of the movie, the villain kidnapped the protagonist’s family (his wife and son), and, the only way the protagonist can save them is by making an exchange on a football stadium.
The exchange took place during the morning, I remember the main protagonist was wearing a football blue jacket and a hat, while the villain (this old man) was wearing a black suite, I remember he came on a ban with a bunch of bodyguards (and the protagonist’s family in the back). The last scene takes place in the middle of the field at daylight. The protagonist delivers a bag to the old man (the very thing he was looking for), but, in the end, he wants to kill them all. The protagonist activates a remote device he installed before, a device that ended up electrifying the whole “field surface” when the “water sprinklers” started to function like every morning at that same hour. The villains (including the leader) ended up dying by electrocution in the middle of that football field and the protagonist saved himself (and his family) cause he jumped into the ban at the right time.
I wish I could provide more details but, asides from the ending, I can’t remember anything else (I can’t tell the cast, the year or even the main plot… I think the protagonist was investigating some sort of “conspiracy” related with powerful corrupted men, and the head of this organization ended up kidnapping his family).
