80'S To Mid 90'S Post-Apocalyptic - Mad Max Rip-Off Like Movie Where Rock N Roll Is Outlawed

I remember watching this on VHS. It was a Post-Apocalyptic movie that ripped off the style of Mad Max to the fullest. The Antagonist was a female warlord like lady that banned or “outlawed” rock music. The main character obviously didn’t like this and it caused trouble.

The only scene I remember is about halfway through the film where the protagonist was in the wasteland desert in a car which was buried. There may have been a second person with him, perhaps a female.

I watched this circa 2003 and it was already dated at that point. Any help whatsoever would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I cannot remember anything else unfortunately. I've been trying to track this one down for about 10 years with no luck. I had a post about it on NameThatMovie and I'm pretty sure you attempted to help there as well. So Thank you for attempting to help. I do appreciate it.

I don't remember it being Italian or having a bad English dub or anything, but who knows lol. I have been digging through all of the post-apocalyptic movies for 15 or so years looking. If somebody does end up figuring this one out, then it will blow my mind, honestly.

How about Cherry 2000:

While this is a wonderful movie, unfortunately it is not the one. I am pretty sure the one I am thinking of is more lower budget than this one if that helps anyone.

Do you have any memory of what the female warlord or the main man looked liked? or what their clothes were like? Anything stand out about the vehicle? Or anything else--No detail is too small

when you say Mad Max style I get stuck on the Death Race 2000 movie and its sequals. I’m still digging though.

Unfortunately not Death Race 2000 either. It's more of an action movie with wasteland warlords. Thank you though.

there is a famous filipino director that ripped off mad max a bunch, and a couple italian ones as well that I have run across. i am focusing on the female warlord currently…i vaguely remember something someone asked where a female made guys play a combat game to the death, could that be a part of it?

Negative lol. I really seriously appreciate everyone's attempts to help. I have been down this road a long time and I have literally gone through every film on the Wikipedia page for Post-Apocalyptic films and never found it. I am starting to think that the person who's house I watched it at had the only copy haha.
