(Asking on behalf of my Mum.) A modern French film seen in roughly 1989 on British TV with subtitles. Three scenes are recollected: first, one where the main character, a woman, has an affair in a Paris flat; second, one where she stays overnight in a house in a village in the countryside and washes her blouse there, hanging it to dry overnight in a window. The third is based around a group of rich men inviting round to a mansion a group of poor women, one of whom is the main character; the men organise a running race for the women with a cash prize for the winner. The woman comes first, having run possibly barefoot, but stuns the men by refusing the prize and walking away.
