I saw the movie a long time ago and if I remember correctly the movie is German. It is set in a smaller town and it is about a creature that kills children. Children can see the monster, while adults cannot. The monster kills the children, according to the legend, because of the sins of their parents. One day a father comes to pick up his son from the school and the kid sees the monster but the father doesnt. More children die in the town. At the end of the movie the monster goes to kill another boy. While the boy climbs the stairs he jumps on his bed and there is a monstrous hand under the bed that tries to catch him. At the end of the movie the mother of the kid sees the monster. The monster takes of its mask and it turns out to be a woman who was seeking revenge because she was forced to have an abortion. She was killing the kids of people who made her have the abortion. She realises that the kid she was trying to kill was not the child, but grandson of one of the men who caused her troubles. She apologizes to the mother and kills herself.
The movie was released probably somewhere between 1999 and 2012.
