A young man is sentenced to death and is on death row. At first, he flaunts and puts on a brave face, but after one of his death row neighbors is executed, he experiences intense fear and asks his cellmate for something to read to distract himself. Gradually, he became interested in reading and began to study jurisprudence and law. Thanks to the knowledge gained, he replaces the death penalty with a life sentence for himself and helps other prisoners achieve justice. I saw the movie in the 90s. The film was shot around this time, maybe in the late eighties.
