A group of kids hide in a cave from a creature that looks like a Tyrannosaurus Rex, the next morning they think it was a dream but they find a tooth outside

The kids are maybe 12-14 years old, they go hiking in a forest, where they later encounter the creature.
They spend the night in a cave-like structure and they find the tooth the next morning, when they come out.
The movie might end on a beach.
Time travel might be a part of the plot.
Dinosaurs were not the main theme of movie.

UPDATE: This must be the one, I scanned through the movie on YouTube and found the scene where the kids find the dinosaur tooth (see the screencaps below).

I have not seen this, maybe this one?:
