I saw a part of this movie a long time ago and only remember a couple of things. I think the movie is about this troubled (possibly violent) boy but I might be wrong and he might not be the main character.
At some point in the movie the boy gets sent away (maybe to youth detention center).
Upon his return to his hometown, he defaces a home of a family that he hates by writing “Pig” all over their walls (inside the house). I believe it was written in red, possibly some animal’s blood.
I believe the movie takes place in Britain or USA sometime between 30’s and 70’s. (I’m leaning 60’s but really not sure) The movie itself can be from mid 2000’s at the latest, more likely from 80s or 90s.
Another thing I remember is at some point he watches someone perform shell game (or maybe three card monte) in the street. Although I don’t think this is any significant plot point and there’s a possibility I’m remembering this scene from another movie entirely.
I understand there’s not much to go on but hopefully someone can identify it.
