Friends, I apologize in advance for the length of this post. Of course, no one is obliged to read all this nonsense. But maybe there are caring people here who will at least try to help.
I swear some old movies either disappeared into thin air, or never found their way to the Internet, or simply never existed and are someone’s fever dream. In the current case, I’m already starting to lean toward the third explanation.
One day, an acquaitance of mine asked me to find this movie (or a series’ episode), which he had been looking for in vain for years. This guy himself disappeared somewhere and has not been online for over a month. But before that, he managed to infect me with his obsession to identify it.
I did my best. But it turned out that absolutely NO ONE knows it.
He says he remembers three scenes from it:
-
A young woman was walking with her child on the street or in a park and started drinking water from a drinking fountain (or some tap). Then, a bald killer came up to her from behind, grabbed her by the head, and stabbed her in the throat or cut it with a small knife (maybe a penknife or even a straight razor).
The scene is a bit odd. After all, a drinking fountain is a thing for children. It’s strange to imagine an adult using it. -
The bald killer is in a solitary confinement cell in a prison (less likely, in an asylum). He blocked the keyhole of the lock with something and got a razor from somewhere and cut his own throat. Apparently, the guards (or orderlies) noticed in time that he was about to do something wrong and tried to open the door to stop him, but they couldn’t (because he had stuffed something into the keyhole). This scene can be interpreted in this way: it is some kind of demonic entity that can possess human bodies, but it can leave its current host only upon their death.
Honestly, I don’t know how realistic it is to jam a lock in this way . But anyway, this scene doesn’t make sense: why bother with the lock trying to buy time if you’re going to do something that takes a few seconds at most? -
Some other character of the movie and this bald killer are walking (most likely in slow motion) parallel to each other in the middle of a crowd and looking at each other. And the killer is changing his appearance, that is, his face, to different others in a row.
Yeah, this scene is vaguely reminiscent of that moment in “Fallen” when the demon was jumping from person to person in front of the detective.
Usually in movies there are either possessing demons or shapeshifters. Both options in one movie - that’s again strange.
He claimed that the movie was probably made in America or another Western country. And that it was presumably shot in the 1980s or 1990s.
As you can see, after analyzing the scenes, I already doubted the existence of this movie. Maybe this son of a gun mistook some nightmare he saw as a child for a movie. But I know for sure that he was not trolling me, and did not make this up intentionally.
But if something like that exists, then I admit the possibility that vague inaccurate memories from different films may be mixed up in his head. So if you recognize anything similar to at least one of these scenes, please let me know.
He said that it’s not “Fallen”, “Shocker”, “Almost Blue” (2000), “The X-Files, 4-D”. It’s also not “First Power” or “Beyond Bedlam”.
