This was the second season of this animal documentary series. The episode was called “Rainforests” I think but was not about rainforests though the first 5 minutes has stock footage from the planet earth series with weird and board sounding commentary over it. It covered 4 endangered species that only exist in a 3 to 5 square mile habitat in Argentina. It was only available during the viewing season in which it was released, so one year. I believe I watched it in 2017 or 2018. It featured a different host for that episode than the regular host. the host was Jeremy Clarkson but he was not allowed to have his name on the credits. It also featured appearances by David Attenbourgh but he too could not have his name on the credits. The original series started on Nat Geo’s Animal planet but they needed more funding for this Documentary so they made a deal with Netflix to pay for it in exchange for Netflix being able to show it on their streaming service for no payments to animal planet. The main animal they were covering is a snake that almost sounds like science fiction. its habitat is just north of Dina Huapi in south central Argentina. It also featured a desert Scorpion like thing that evolved from a crab, a desert cat, and a desert limpet that dissolves and eats limestone rock. the scorpion eats the limpets, the snake eats the scorpions and the cat eats the scorpions and sometimes the snakes. the scorpions venom is highly concentrated lactic acid produced from its muscles. None of the animals are searchable because Argentina treats its endangered animal and threatened species like state secrets as part of their protection program. There is also a tecno scifi straight to DVD movie from 2004 that features this snake. the snake was also featured I think on an episode of Americas got talent in the first season of the Golden Buzzer. the episode they were on the snake is not a contestant but a side show in between. it climbs a tower, puts out a fire and jumps off and glides down to the stage making its body a circle shape. I have internet searched the hell out of this for the last 8 months and cant find it.

Jeremy Clarkson and David Attenborough don’t appear on any documentaries together: Advanced search
Clarkson apparently did a Top Gear episode in Argentina and there was some faux pas:
Are you sure someone didn’t just chop bits and pieces of several shows into one?
