Looking for an animated movie where 2 main characters embark on a quest for some reason (I’ve forgotten what they are doing). The world is made up of broken pieces of land suspended in space. I don’t remember it being difficult for them to travel from one piece of land to another. There was a monster that chases them occasionally that is made up of hundreds of red flying bat-like creatures (maybe called the Red Devil or something similar). The one character just wants to live peacefully on a sheep farm, the other one (shorter, more intense) wants to complete the quest. I can’t remember if they are rescuing someone or traveling with someone else but I kind of think that there is a much younger spirited female character for part of the movie. Watched around 2010, maybe earlier.
