Arabian Fantasy Movie With Killer Doll/Statue

“Saw this on TV in the 70s or 80s, one of those Arabian Nights style movies. The two scenes I clearly remember feature a killer statue in the shape of a beautiful princess created by the movie’s evil Vizier/Sorcerer. The statue kills people by holding out its arms, inviting a hug and then crushing you to death when you embrace it. In the first scene the bad guy tests it by having it kill one of his soldiers, in the second scene, a person is saved at the last second by stooping down to pick something up when it tries to grab him. I know it’s neither the 1940 nor 1978 versions of the Thief of Baghdad nor is it one of the three famous Sinbad movies featuring work by Ray Harryhausen. Note that the 1940 film also has a killer statue in it, but that one is painted silver and kills with a knife, the one in the film I’m trying to find looks like a regular princess.”

None of the other details are going to be super helpful since they will apply to so many movies, like “the guy was wearing a turban” and “the movie was in color”. For example, the statue had long dark hair. The headgear for the soldiers looked more like a shako than a turban or one of those taller style hats that come to a point. So for sure it isn’t any of these films :

Thief of Bagdad (1940) with Sabu

Thief of Bagdad (1961) with Steve Reeves

Thief of Bagdad (1978) with Roddy McDowall

A Thousand and One Nights (1945) with Phil Silvers

Thief of Damascus (1952) with Lon Chaney, Jr.

The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958)

Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger (1977)

The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1973)"

I have been digging but nothing yet. Seems living statue has specific words in other cultures which is making it more complicated. I am wondering if “princess” may not be who the statue was, but more goddess or something?

It’s been found.

The Wonders of Aladdin (Le meraviglie di Aladino, 1961).
