Can’t remember much of this old movie but I remember one scene kinda

So all I remember of the scene is how it talks about the fastest way between two points and the female describing it uses fabric and folds the fabric and telling the young girl that the fastest way is to bring the points together. Please is anyone knows the movie let me know
