I remember watching a tv movie between 2000 and 2022. I think it may have been based on a true story. Opening scene is at night. A mother and daughter are sitting in a car. A man with a gun shoots mother in the head. The daughter survives. The mother is in a coma for the entire film. All I remember is the end the mother just released from hospital is sitting in a wheelchair is being pushed by her daughter. Another woman who helped solve her mothers case is standing next to the sheriff they are now married. Both the sheriff and this tall thin woman with long black hair are standing next to the sheriffs car. I think the movie was filmed in Canada because the Sheriff is wearing a cowboy hat and there was a farm in the movie too. The daughter is thin and has long blonde hair.
