I haven’t watched this cartoon, but I saw the cover of the dvd. It shows a boy flying either on a bird or on something red. Maybe the boy was wearing something red, like a loincloth. Everything else on the cover was yellow, maybe it was sand.

Reminds me of How To Train Your Dragon (2010). It could be the first one or one of its sequels.

A boy flying on a bird in an animated movie/series reminds me of this:
“Nirusu no fushigi na tabi” (1980-1981), also known as “The Wonderful Adventures of Nils”
