Another movie from when I was a child I saw on TV. So up to 2009, I guess.
No, it’s not Killer Flood from 2003, I checked.
Very few information, a dam is about to break up and flood an entire village. The main characters succeed in getting out of the dam in time before the break. The village is flooded, and in the church, there’s a guy with a corpse, I think he killed him, maybe he had a gun and he watches as the waves come through the stained-glass windows.

That's actually another lost movie I found out about yesterday but the two are unrelated as the movie I'm looking for takes place in daytime at the end while Hard Rain takes place in one night, I believe.
– Thenukei think it may be more of a tidal wave/end of world flood type flick you are looking for where the dam/levee was holding it all at bay. there are several films that would fit this description, but village may be something unique, if it is a foreign thing
