Drama movie about African American boy and his uncle, dinosaurs and museum

I’m looking for a drama movie - it is about a African American boy (about eight years old) and his uncle or father. Maybe it’s his father with problems, maybe his uncle trying to get custody. The boy loves the man very much, wants to be under his care, but they face difficulties - maybe bureaucracy, maybe the man’s material status. They generally see each other - they go for walks, eat meals together, but something prevents them from putting a “dot over the i”.

Sounds like a lot of drama, but there was a distinctive theme - the boy was interested in dinosaurs, he had plenty of them in his room - bedding, wallpaper, figurines. He loved spending time in the museum, where he most enjoyed looking at the skeleton of a large predator, if I recall correctly, it was an Albertosaurus (kind of like a tyrannosaurus, only smaller). He admired it for being strong, fearless, etc.

Once the boy got lost, and the man immediately knew to look for him just under this exhibit.

The last scene was that the man was leaving, the boy chased the train, and when the train left, the man was still standing on the platform. They fell into each other’s arms “and lived happily ever after.”

Thank you in advance
