In about 2007/2008 I was at a friend’s house and we were watching what I’m pretty sure was Astro Boy but it could’ve been some other cartoon with a similar look to it. All I remember was this robotic character getting clogged with some thick dark liquid, some kind of oil or idk molasses?? And it made him shut down until he was basically dead. I remember it freaking me out but the tone could have been not nearly as dark as how I thought of it as a child, lol. Was this in fact Astro Boy and if so what episode? What was really going on there?
