A female lead. The woman is attacked and spends most of the movie paying the attacker to do repairs to her porch. People think she has forgiven him. Her father is upset with her about this. I think she might have been a surgeon and might have lost her ability to do surgery. At the end the attacker enters her home and tries to attack her again. She drugs him. And performs surgery on him in her home. It was all a plan to exact revenge on him all along. She had never actually forgiven him. I think this was a 90s film or early 2000s
The actress was fairly well known at the time but I cannot remember any actors names in the movie
