In the anime I follow , I remember this sequence at the end of the anime , a monster and several robots were fighting each other , two men and a woman were watching the scene , the monster jumps an a robot , the robot shoots the monster’s mouth , the monster is wounded and falls to the ground , the robot driver says to proceed according to the plan , suddenly a helicopter comes to the place , the first man says what is the matter and the second man answers that the plan has changed , some armored men with flamethrowers shot the monster three times with their flamethrowers the third shot kills the monster

Ok, big white mechas with colts immediately makes me think of Patlabor. There’s films and TV series within that universe, but if I remember correctly they only fight against other robots:
