I’m pretty sure it was in english and it was in color. I only remember one scene. It was this older woman/babysitter (?) who was getting kids to read and they read on this carousel rotating device with different types of metal seats suspended in the air. It might’ve been part of a song? Thanks!

Just a guess, maybe?:
“Mary Poppins” (1964), or some other film versions of it?
It is a musical, family movie with songs in it, and Mary Poppins is a nanny/babysitter.
