I hope anyone can help me with this one. English isn’t my first language. I hopefully remember enough about this movie. I watched it several years ago on german television. A family on a roadtrip by car stranded at a deserted diner or gasstation. Somekind of mechanical creatures or drones were there and mutilated/killed people. I don’t think that it was from the United States, might as well been from a European country. I think there was a scene with a big trash container where someone hid. And I kind of vaguely remember that the plot contained a time loop.
could it be “southbound”? it has several segments but the plots look close to what you describe
