Help me to find a police movie

I am looking for a police movie. At the beginning of the movie, the detective of the film goes after a female criminal and the chase is done on foot and in many alleys and corridors, this chase continues for about 5 minutes, but at the end the criminal escapes from the detective. I only remember this from the movie.

When was the movie made? When did you see it? Was it a detective, or a regular street cop (a police officer) who chased the female criminal?

I checked. It wasn’t.
In the first sequence of the film I am looking for, the policeman follows the female criminal in the streets, hallways and inside the houses. In the end, he does not manage to get arrested. But this chase covers the first 5 minutes of the movie.
