Hi. I can’t remember movie in which, I think, a woman (or a man with a woman) has been living in a solitary house, like a village/garden/farm house. I think she was a victim of a crime, or her child was a victim… The police investigator/detective kept searching for the criminal for a long time but could find anything, and they kind of closed the case. They kept coming back to the woman thinking she (the victim) knew something, but she did not know anything about it. And at the end of the movie it was revealed that she kept hiding the criminal in that house, locked up, half out of pity, half out of punishment, and after many years she finally released him, I think.

It is the US remake of this Argentinian-Spanish movie:
“El secreto de sus ojos” (2009), also known as “The Secret in Their Eyes”
OMG, it’s probably this, I had a feeling it had to something with “eyes”, but I kept thinking about “Julia’s eyes”! I think I watched the remake, and will watch the spanish version as soon as possible.
In the 2015 US remake Julia Roberts plays one of the main characters, maybe this is why you thought the title is "Julia's Eyes"? :)

– mimiko33What a funny story happened. I still have Julia's eyes somewhere in my list, and I stumbled upon it, and started thinking about this movie. And I remembered that I once again cannot remember what this movie is! But I remembered that somewhere on this kind of forum I asked and got a solution. So this time I had to search not for a movie based on description, but for a forum... And I managed to find the forum and my post! I watched both movies and I admit that I liked the remake better. But the best part is that I was able to find this movie twice. So thanks again for everyone's help.
