Looking for a movie - probably 90s but can't remember the name

The only thing I remember about this movie is about this guy who used to go to the theatre/ opera in the evening to meet other guys / cruising. I don’t remember much about the film / actors / . It is the only scene I remember about . Nothing explicit . Any idea ?

Long shot, but Midnight Cowboy (1969) has a scene similar to the description.
