Hello. Need help trying to remember movie name. Its about a man who moves into apartment in California. He meets neighbor smoking outside in garden. He finds a glass object inside apartment and at first uses it as an ashtray. The glass object is sitting on a window and as light refracts through it, it begins to spin. That is all i saw and fell asleep. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

When and where did you see it? Any more detail that you can recall? Anything mattters, even the smallest thing. And nothing is spoiler here, since we can remember the movie, most of the time because of it.
