Looking for old movie title

Hi,
I’m looking for old movie title. Here are some facts about it I think remember correctly (but don’t take my word for it):

  1. The movie was black and white, but I might’ve watched it on b’n’w TV as well.
  2. It’s a thriller in which wife finds hidden room of her husband and finds out he previously had other wives.
  3. He confesses to her that he killed all his ex wives and we see retrospects of these killings.
  4. One of victims was drowned (this woman was political activist), the other was killed by dropping chandelier on her and her female lover.
  5. Husband had dark hair and beard.
