I’m looking for a film I once saw about a young woman who is a filmmaker and wants to be top spot in a festival. Her last film was very dark and controversial but put her on the map.
Over time the viewer discovers the details of her last controversial film as a former female friend comes back into her life who is hesitant but eventually agrees to volunteer to shoot scenes for her new experimental film. This female has one eye. While the main character aka female director begins filming, parts of her memory start to come back to her and reveals that the former female friend/actress got high on mushrooms one night while her friend was filming her and she stabbed herself in the eye.
