"I think I’ve seen this movie maybe 20 years ago.
I remember it being an asian movie, but I’m not sure from which country it was specifically. It was very melancholic, about the struggle of the main protagonist, very slow paced.
I distinctly remember two scenes:
In the first one, the main character (a woman), who massages one of her regular clients, discovers that the client has, among more traditional tattoos, a new tattoo of Micky Mouse (or something similar). I think the implication were that it was to cheer her up or something like that.
The second scene is towards the end, where the woman sits in a bar and a man approaches her and asks whether he can paint her. He does and produces a very moody, melancholic painting of the woman."
