Its a movie about the modern world. One person seems to be the only one who can see the invisible influence/powers in control You see people watching TV as an a “goop”, monster, spirit things comes out of it. Also at one point there was a massive version of this wrapped around a building. The world is filled with them! It may or may have not been up to one person to expose or stop this “mind control”.
