Monsters with green eyes in wooden crates on a train

Hello, I have seen a movie, about 25 years ago.
A train runs at night, with a cargo of a big solid thick sturdy wooden crate (crates). In this crate there is some sort of a monster/spirit/daemon with fluorescent green eyes. Anybody who sees these eyes become infected/posessed, which eventually spreads throughout the train.
I can only remember the green eyes like some burning green flame, the wooden crate and the train.
Any help appreciated.

Could it be Horror Express (1972)?
The eyes are red though, not green.
