The Nightmare in Elm Street movies are all about shared dreams, perhaps one of them?
Yes this one really sounds like Nightmare on Elm street 3 where they are in a clinic studying the shared dreams. I know there is some after that of the series even recent remakes of the series that may fit I haven’t seen the newest ones.
The only other idea I have is maybe a movie like the 4th kind where a doctor is studying shared memories under hypnosis I think. It’s been a while on that one.
