Movie (or tv serie) is old, probably 80s but not sure, I think there was a kid in the movie and a scene where you hear a voice calling “Niicholaas” repeatedly in a ghostly way, not sure is a ghost or a inside voice or something else.

In The Care Bears Movie (1985) there’s a kid Nicholas with a book that has a ghostly voice that says his name a lot. You didn’t specify it was an animated movie but it’s worth a shot.
