This is kind of indie Niche movie kind of coming of age but it follows this young man in New York City and he meets this mixed girl and he pursues her but her father is very strict and abusive. There’s a bunker involved and I think someone dies in the film. The movie is set in winter at one point I remember snow. Please help!!

No it wasn’t that kind of film the kids were kind of troubled, I believe the kid got shot by the police because the bunker was raided. I remember like the kid being shot in the snow. It’s been so long ago I don’t remember any one liners. I know for a fact it’s not a popular movie at all. I grew up without cable and this film played on the now this channel once or twice.
This may not be the movie you’re after because of what you mentioned about a bunker in the film. The one I’m thinking of I don’t believe has anything with bunkers. It might have though actually. Now that I think about the girl and her dad might have lived in something like a bunker but I really can’t be sure. But, the mention of the guy in NY and he goes out with a girl and her dad is abusive, along with someone dying, made me think of the movie -

The film contains some relationship scenes between people that were not simulated like is normally done in movies. But the scenes were actually authentically done in the movie. I hope you get what I mean without me having to type it here, haha. But, because of this, the movie was not widely released or really at all for the most part. It might have possibly been shown at theaters in some European countries. But, most viewing of it was done from home video or the internet probably. It’s in the vein of Harmony Korine and Larry Clark’s movies like “Kids”, “Bully” “Another Day In Paradise” etc.
Again, this may not be the movie you were trying to find. It’s just as I said, though, the relationship of the guy in New York with the girl who had an abusive father and how someone dying was pretty prominent and even relevant to the movie’s title in the film. Well, it made me think of the film, Ken Park.
