This does sound strange but because it was featured in the long running UK BBC television review show ‘Film with Barry Norman’ it was definitely a proper cinema released film.
From what I remember, which unfortunately is very little, it may not have been English language and very likely French or Italian, subtitled or dubbed for UK. The scene I recall was of a woman on a bus, giving a man a discreet handjob. He was shocked, although not upset. This may be important to the plot of the film, indeed it may well be what the whole film is about, as Barry Norman did actually describe this scene in his synopsis. This is why it has stuck in my mind, it was amusing to hear his very familiar, professional voice saying something like, “… she spends her time on buses masturbating strangers…”
I think the woman had some sort of fetish or psychological problem which compelled her to behave in this way.
