Old animated kids movie with donkey villain

I last rememeber watching this movie around 2008-2010 i think. Basically it starts off with a yeti who tells stories to his kids/grandkids(looks like willump from league of legends). All i can remember from the movie is that there was a king and a queen, who were both lions, and the king falls ill and so people are sent out to find a cure. The donkey in the movie, which was like his royal leige, is after the throne and so he tries to poison the king while he’s sick. The hero in the movie might be a fox, or another animal which i cannot remember. Thats as much as i can remember about the movie itself. The animation style had a 3D aspect to it, kinda like hoodwinked
The movie was set in a deep winter setting with the houses always covered with snow, until the end where I think the yeti does some magic and cause the sun to come out. The lion king kinda resembles the lion president from zootopia.

Joomp1, are you sure that the king and the queen were lions? I am asking this because lions usually do not live in winter conditions, they usually live on the much warmer savannahs.

I'm 90% sure that they were lions, like I can picture them in the movie

A yeti telling stories is what this kids TV show was about. Its English title is Yeti Tales.

No that's not it, it was a kids animated movie and that one looks too realistic. It would start off with the yeti telling a story before they go to bed but it isn't all a story told by the yeti.

Are you sure that it isn't "Reynard the Fox" (2005) ? I found it using IMDB filters. There are lion king and lion queen. I found an information about evil donkey and some "sceneries" are set in a winter. Unfortunately, I don't know if there is yeti. Reynard the Fox is a literary cycle of medieval allegorical Dutch, English, French and German fables, but animate version is made in Luxembourg :-)

I watched "Reynard the Fox" (2005) yesterday and I am pretty sure that it is "your" animated movie. There are king and queen (both are lions), donkey villain, a yeti-type creature (very similar to Willump), houses in a snow etc.
