Old italian movie, luxury hotel-restaurant reception, servant is the main character, runs away in the end

Old Italian (I assume its italian) movie, at least half of it shows a reception in a luxurious restaurant-hotel where guests belong to some rich company owned by an old lady. main character is a young man working as a servant there. in the end of the film, he decides to runaway.

some of the scenes that i remember:

  • one of the guests says that the soup that she was served is disgusting, the guest near her saves her from having to eat it by throwing his cigarette into her soup
  • during the reception the maitre d’hotel finds out that some of the silverware is missing, he searches the servant who is the main character
  • after the reception the main character was tasked with bringing an order to a room, when he enters it, he sees a lighter on a bed. when he takes it, he hears a female voice say something like “this thing isn’t yours, but if you like it, you may take it”
  • in the very end of the movie, as the main character escapes, he was chased after by the dogs, but as they caught up with him, they didn’t attack him

La Cena / The Dinner (1998) pops up. Could it be that one?
