Old movie 70s or 80s thieves museum relic traps snake

Remembered watching as a kid with some memories:

  • Team of thieves break into a large hall of a old museum,
  • Trying to steal a crown or jewels on top of a tall pedestal,
  • Some are killed by traps as team moves closer,
  • Whilst trying to climb the pedestal, single sword extends from the middle and impales a thief,
  • Whilst trying to climb the pedestal, a snake shoots out and bites the thief’s cheeks.

Any ideas?
