Desperately searching for a movie I vaguely remember. In short all remember id the plot and I suspect it was south African. The movie is about a wife who is infected with an std by her husband and after finding out about this from a doctor she leaves her husband with her son and daughter in favour of living with her mother if I’m not mistaken. Meanwhile, the husband suffers through the sickness with aid from his two relatives until they decide he’s not gonna be able to sustain them and the lifestyle they feel entitled to and leave. In addition to the health decline the husband also suffers financially which leads to him being unable to consistently pay his children’s school fees. At a certain point in the movie, the wife returns to her husband and kids and assists in his recovery. That is if he recovers, I don’t remember beyond the wife’s return. Nor do I remember the details like year, actors, director etc. However I am painfully aware that there’s a similar movie South African movie called yesterday. That portrays a mother who gets infected as well but it’s not the one I’m looking for.
