Random movie that i have been going insane trying to remember

I’m new here this is my first post I’m sorry i don’t remember much at all about the movie I’m looking for.

I believe it was a thriller or SciFi movie maybe from the last ten years or so? From what i can remember a man and boy are running from a group of people they go into a shop or store for supply’s i believe they pulled down a rolling security grille to lock the people out that were chasing them, the man is wearing headphones or noise cancelling headphones and is looking for stuff on the shelves the people catch up and start talking to the boy the man sees this and pulls off his headphones and puts them on the boy so he can’t hear what the people are saying he then looks concerned that he can now hear what the people are saying.
i think the movie was about if you hear people say certain words or phrases you go crazy? or join their mob? or get mind controlled? i have no idea. :pensive:
