Looking for title of this movie:
1950’s movie . Set in Italy or Greece. Love story , sailor leaves for sea, not knowing his girlfriend is pregnant. Stock scene in the movie: repeated scenes of a mystical or magical fountain in the village square. Another stock scene: a group of older men hide a rock under a hat in the middle of the street --and wait for unsuspecting people to kick it.
